Get More From the Neon CRM
You Already Have.

Migrating to Neon CRM is a significant step. The next step is activation: building the workflows, reports, and structures that make the CRM work the way your team actually works. That's where we come in.

Where Most Nonprofits Get Stuck After Migration

These challenges are common. And fixable.

  • Key relationships didn't carry over. Sponsor history, donor tiers, and organizational connections are missing or in the wrong fields. Migration tools don't understand your organization's logic.
  • Prospect tracking still lives in spreadsheets. The CRM doesn't yet have the structures to show who's been contacted, who's committed, and who to re-engage. So your team defaults to what they know.
  • The team isn't using the CRM consistently. When migrated data doesn't match how people actually work, adoption stalls. It's not a training problem. It's a configuration problem.
  • Campaigns, reports, and segments are still untouched. These are the features that create real operational value, but they require setup that migration doesn't include.
  • Leadership needs reports the CRM can't produce yet. Year-over-year sponsor data, donor retention, event engagement. The data exists, but it isn't structured to answer those questions.

Every one of these is solvable. Activation is the structured work of getting there.

What CRM Activation Looks Like

A structured process, not an open-ended engagement.

Phase 1

Audit

We compare what's in Neon against your original data: spreadsheets, exports, historical records. Then we map exactly what's missing, miscategorized, or incomplete. You get a clear picture of where your CRM stands and what it needs.

Phase 2

Activate

We build the structures your team actually needs: sponsor prospect tracking, backfilled historical data, donor segments, and reports that answer the questions your leadership is already asking.

Phase 3

Enable

We train your team on data entry workflows, deliver documentation they can reference independently, and provide a year-long engagement calendar based on your actual audience data.

In Practice: Activation After Migration

The situation: A nonprofit had recently migrated to Neon CRM. Data was in the system, but sponsor history was incomplete, the executive director had no visibility into prospect pipeline, and the team was still tracking key relationships in spreadsheets. The CRM was live. It just wasn't working for them yet.

What We Built Together

  • Audited Neon CRM against original Excel files and documented gaps, missing relationships, and miscategorized data
  • Built a sponsor prospect tracking system with full pipeline visibility
  • Backfilled historical sponsor data across multiple years so leadership could see relationship history
  • Created annual sponsor reports that give the board what they need at a glance
  • Delivered an audience segmentation analysis with a year-long engagement calendar
  • Documented data entry workflows so the team can maintain the system independently

The outcome: The executive director had full pipeline visibility and a system her team was actually using. Delivered in under four weeks.
